Hydro Jetting is a non-invasive sewer pipe cleaning method that clears pipes by removing blockages with high pressure water jets that are strong enough to cut roots but still gentle on the pipe itself due to the angle of the water streams.

A mechanical snake can cut a hole through roots, but hydro jetting removes the roots and debris from a sewer line by use of a miniature pressure washer which sprays a stream of water that will cut the roots and leave your sewer clean and blockage free.

There are several different water-jetting heads that are used for different situations encountered in any given sewer line. Our highly trained team of hydro jet technicians know which tools to use and how to use them correctly.

At LA Sewer Inspectors, hydro jetting is always used in conjunction with a high-definition sewer line camera so we can monitor the work in progress. This allows our technicians to pinpoint the exact point of trouble and correctly direct the root-cutting tool. We also provide a complimentary inspection report with every cleaning we do.

Improperly used, a mechanical snake can become fouled in a heavy root tangle and break off, creating a new problem. Hydro jetting on the other hand, removes the roots with a rotating jet of water which cuts the root at the point it is entering the pipe, eliminating the need for a steel cutting tool which can be less gentle on the pipe.

On occasion, there may be damage to the sewer pipe behind the root penetration areas. These are made clearly visible with hydro jetting, whereas a mechanical snake with its rotating cutting blades can get caught in broken sections of pipe in certain situations.

LA Sewer Inspectors are hydrojet specialists and will give you both the pre-hydro jet video and the after-hydro jet video, so you can see for yourself the results of the service.
